Fully Air-Conditioned Rooms - a must-have after a day out and about..
We've heard of plenty of Hostels that hand you the sheets as you walk in and expect you to make your bed then when you leave bring your sheets back to them. Or the hostels that charge you for the use of thier sheets.The ones that take 1-2 $ and say "it's for the cost of washing them." How about the hostels that give you a hard 3 inch think pad and put you on a raised floor (as opposed to The Floor ) and tell you to "Enjoy the Asiatic Feel..." None of those shenanigans here.You will see what I mean as you tour. As you arrive, most flying eastward to get here, ( Flying against the sun causes stronger jetlag) What you want is a place to climatize , research and Sleep comfortably. Before you depart you want a good hot shower, a convienant Location to do the shopping you've saved the last days for And A good mattress in a room that has Aircon that is good enough to deserve these beds having a good Blanket, So all can be comfortable.
Soi 1 has - Triple private, 4, 8, & 10 person dorm rooms, and a 6 bed female only dorm. All rooms have Great air-con (See the blankets,The rooms with on suite have showers only. All toilets are shared,Western in Style. (We keep them Clean, check our rating for cleanness, Toilets can tell a lot about a place.) The triple rooms have beds that are double on the bottom and single on top and can be booked for full occupancy.
Showers(7) are Clean and just outside the rooms as are the Western Style Toliets-(6) ( we supply the paper, you think thats funny? just you wait till you have to buy some.) and an Urinal in the bar area.
We Also supply you with a Plush towel (as opposed to the usual little white ones you can see thru,) It's no fun packing a damp towel in your bag on the morning of your departure, amoungst the Clean dry clothes. Putting it in a plastic bag only keep it damp till when you next use it, tho it's a trival thing and at the worst could only mess up your party shirt, It's the kind of thing that was on our mind when We descided to supply towels to our Guest. And it's this kind of thinking that tho you won't realize it when you arrive because you have nothing to compare it to, You will be much more appreciative when you return. Thats what We are striving for ;

We have set a standard of Service, Cleanliness and Care for our Guest to such an extent that Some Hostels/ Guesthouses are finally getting a clue and finding that they best start 'Cleaning up their acts' and providing a 'Guest-friendly hostel'. That's a great bonus for those who never even stay At 'Soi 1 Guesthouse.' We being a 36 bed Hostel are mid sized and have the time for each Guest, plus 'We have The Love of adventure'.
